We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
With COVID-19 safety measures in place, Lane Arts Council has chosen to shift gears to offer fun and accessible at-home Summer Art Kits in place of our in-person All About Art Summer Camp in Veneta. Available to all Lane County students, these kits provide materials and instructional guides for a summer full of artmaking and creativity!
How it works:
Following the order deadline, we will mail a kit to households including all the materials necessary for 40 art lessons including visual, dance, theatre, and musical arts. Each lesson has a corresponding paper instructional guide and/or video tutorial to guide students through the art projects. All students need is a device able to play videos, a space to create art, and a kitchen. All the other supplies will be included in their kit!
All lessons have been designed and taught by Lane Arts Council’s professional teaching artists. The lessons include:
- Scientific Observational Drawing
- Improvisational Hip Hop Dance
- Sock Puppets
- Introduction to Guinean Rhythms
- Natural Dyes
- Theatre Games
- Watercolor Exploration
- Songwriting
- Draw & Paint Big!
- Paper Bag Possibilities (ReUse Art)
For $145 per student, Lane Arts Council provides all materials needed to complete 40 art lessons, paper and/or video instructional guides for each lesson, shipping of the art kit directly to families, and hours of fun and creativity.
Lane Arts Council will provide a portion of our summer art kits to local families in need at no cost or reduced cost, but we need your help. Consider making a donation to help us provide more free and reduced-cost kits for local students!
Every donation increases the number of students we are able to serve, so your gift means that one more young person right here in Lane County will spend their summer making art. Thank you!
